My Most Favorite High School Memory

In my four years of high school, I would say that this year’s senior game was my favorite memory. This is specifically to celebrate the seniors for their hard work in the team. That day, my college friends, siblings, and an ex assistant coach came to visit us. It was a surprise to me because I didn’t know that my friends would come support me and my teammates, and I had a lot of fun. Not only did my underclassmen friends cheered me on, we started fooling around in the field house and didn’t even get in trouble. At one point, I even sneaked out with my sister to run errands with her. And as usual, we took lots of pictures to keep the memory. It was a powerful moment for me. I had a small group of friends when I first joined the team, but now, I am so lucky to have so many more people to talk to and connect with. Now, I have many college friends, and many who will still be in high school. This gave me the chance to make friends of any age, and continue to be their friends for a long time, telling me that age doesn’t matter. Age is just a number.

I wasn’t too fond on that idea, but I joined anyways. I wasn’t as involved as others were, but I made new friends. Soon enough, I got more and more involved in homecoming and other school activities. My brother didn’t just encourage me in school events, he was pretty much my cheerleader and mentor in things that weren’t academic. Whenever I had down moments or struggled with something, I would always ask him for advice. Even when I feel like I was bothering him, he still helped me. Other than my best friends, he was th...
